1. Overview

Ayumi is a local-first journaling app for iOS and macOS. Journal entries are primarily stored under the user's control as local files or in the user's own cloud storage location selected within the app.

2. Data We Access

Ayumi may access the following data only when you choose to use the related features:

• Microphone audio, when you record an audio note for transcription
• Location, when you allow Ayumi to attach where an entry was written
• Files and attachments, when you choose to attach images, audio, PDFs, or other files to an entry

3. How Data Is Used

Ayumi uses accessed data only to provide app functionality, including:

• Creating and saving journal entries
• Attaching contextual metadata such as location and weather
• Saving attachments alongside entries
• Converting recorded audio into text

4. Audio Transcription

If you use the transcription feature, audio you choose to record may be sent to a third-party transcription service provider to generate text.

Ayumi does not use audio data for advertising or tracking.
